Reportage wedding photographer

There are many different styles of wedding photography, including fine art, or documentary – also know as reportage. So when booking a photographer for your wedding, you should ask yourself what type of photos you desire.

Documentary wedding photography is all about storytelling and capturing the intimacy between the bride and groom and their guests. It is also about knowing where to take your photos and what angles to go for. I learned all my photography tricks by working as a photojournalist for over 15 years.

Remember your parents’ wedding albums with those awkwardly posed photographs of the bride and groom trying to look at their very best?

Well, things have been changing for the better since the arrival of the documentary wedding photography that I adhere to! Welcome to dazzling situational photographs of the happy couple and their guests for the glorious wedding album.

With the new digital technologies of today we are even able to photograph in low light conditions. In the past, shooting in low light was usually tricky for wedding photographers.

I recently wrote a article on photographing wedding ceremonies in low light conditions you can read it here. If you would like to know more about documentary wedding photography and how I work, read more hereor if you prefer you can get in touch here.
